Why a program on OCD? Besides the fact that I have OCD? It is estimated than one in every twenty people has OCD. That means in my little corner of the world right now, in a county of 9,000 people, there are at least 449 other people who have OCD besides me. Heck, that’s at least the same number of people who pull up to the drive-thru at the local McDonald’s in one week. That’s a lot of people. And my guess is that the only way some of them will ever discuss, read or listen about OCD is if it comes from their perspective; not by a Psychiatrist or a talk-show host but by someone like them…someone like me…

This book and the program are not just a detailed peek into the life of someone with OCD but also a mission of sorts. Through scripture, prayer and a deeper relationship with the Lord, I was able to win my battle with OCD. My longing is to share my experiences and insight with the millions of people out there who also suffer from this disorder. For anyone who has OCD, prayer and bible study can be more than a minor struggle. In my book and seminar program by the same title - “So Many Rituals, So Little Time” - I show just why it can be such a problem and how I was personally able to overcome the OCD driven ritualistic prayers of my youth and grow into a solid, prayerful relationship with the Lord. Without Him, I would still be trapped in a world of fear and compulsive behaviors.
